The answer is B. 2(p + q) + q

Given

q+p+q+p+q

To Find

Expression equivalent to it

Solution

q+p+q+p+q

Here grouping the variables together we get

(q + q + q) + (p + p)

Since we have added q three times we will write it as 3q and since we have added up p 2 times, we will write it as 2p.

Hence the expression is

3q + 2p

= 2p + 2q + q

Now taking 2 common we get

2(p + q) + q

Hence, the answer is B. 2(p + q) + q
