A high viscosity of blood causes an increased resistance in the blood vessels and leads to slow blood flow.

Viscosity refers to the thickness of blood. This thickness is caused by the number of red blood cells. Thick blood travels through blood vessels at a slower rate than thin blood.

Exercising acts as a factor which cause a faster rate of blood flow.

Explanation:

Usually rate of blood flow increase due to the phenomenon called as vasodilatation. When the vessel which carries blood gets dilated, the vascular resistance gets decreased and in turn, it leads to the increase in a high rate of blood flow.

When we exercise, due to high mechanical work exerted on the body, it causes vasodilatation and thus leads to an increase in the blood flow rate. Thus exercising act as a causative factor for the faster rate of blood flow.
