Researchers studied 24 family dogs to see how useful they were to their owners and found that they were more interested in themselves than helping out.
The scientists concluded that it was 'mainly self-interest that was driving the dogs' behaviour'.
To test each dog a notebook somebody had been using was placed in one corner; if the dog retrieved this they were being useful A toy was placed in another corner and if the dog grabbed this they were considered selfish.
So, This proves that while most Dogs are selfless, Some dogs are just opposite.
