ur answer goes here

Explanation:

It can be grown on a variety of soils,  but alluvial clayey loam of the Indo-Gangetic plains are ideal for its growth. It is also grown in black soil in the South. It can grow in any type of soil as long as the soil can retain moisture. The soil should be rich in nitrogen, calcium and phosphorous. It requires temperature between 200C and 240C.

For ripening and harvesting, dry winter is ideal. It needs rainfall of 100-155 cm distributed throughout the year.
