Visual acuity, or resolving power, is the ability of a person to distinguish fine detail and is the property of cone cells which has a special pigment called iodopsin. It also helps us to see objects in bright light. A horse has higher accuracy through most of the visual field of its eyes than a human has, but does not match the high accuracy of the human eye's fovea centralis.
