which figure has a greater perimeter a square of side 12 cm or a rectangles with dimensions 14 cm x 8cm​

Square has greater perimeter

Now 1st find the perimeter of square

and we know that the perimeter of square=4×side

Then:-

\underline{\underline{\red{\mathtt{According\:to\: question:-}}}}

Side =12cm

perimeter=4×side

Perimeter of square=4×12

=> 48cm

Now 2nd the perimeter of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle=2(L+b)

Then;-

L= 14 cm

B=8cm

perimeter of rectangle=2(L+b)

Perimeter=2(14+8)

=> 2×22

=>44cm

The perimeter of square > perimeter of rectangle
