Answer :-

  • The circle have greater area.

Step-by-step explanation ::

To Find :-

  • Which is having greater area [ circle, square ]

Solution :-

Given that,

  • Side of square = 16cm
  • Diameter of circle = 16cm [ Radius = 8cm ]

Therefore, the area of square is,

As we know that,

Area of square = (side)²

=> Area = ( 16 )²

=> Area = 16 × 16

=> Area = 256

The area of square is 256cm².

Now, the area of circle is,

As we know that,

Area of circle = πr²

=> Area = 22/7 × (8)²

=> Area = 22/7 × 8 × 8

=> Area = 176/7 × 8

=> Area = 1408/7

=> Area = 9856

The area of circle is 9856cm².

According the question,

=> Area of Square < Area of circle

=> 256 < 9856

Hence, The circle have greater area.
