GERBERA flower is generally grown in protected conditions in Punjab.

Gerbera is propagated through tissue culture.

It is grown as commercial cut flower crop. For commercial use Red, orange, white, pink and yellow colour flowers of gerbera are in more demand . Planting time of Gerbera is in the month of  September - October. It is a perennial plant. It is once planted produce flowers for three years. For commercial purposes fully opened flowers are harvested.
