Temperate rain forests are found in snow capped regions. Broadleaf forests occupy the temperate zone. They could also be coniferous or have a mixture of the two.Rainfall levels in these zones are very high. Thus this makes the temperate forests generally moist leading to support of growth of mosses, ferns and other shrubs. The  seedlings of most of the plants found in this zone are able to regenerate under shade.
