in a true democracy, the government should be elected by people through free and fair elections. but, in military, people don't elect their representatives. military people themselves take the power. that is freedom that is violated in a military rule.

When a democracy is overturned by a military rule then basic and fundamental rights are taken away...mainly involving right to life, right to freedom of expression, right to freedom of speech etc.
