Heya,

Which gas is absorbed by microorganism rhizobium from the air.
ANSWER:- Rhizobium bacteria is present in the leguminous plants root nodules and helps in nitrogen fixation. So nitrogen is the gas absorbed by rhizobium bacteria from air.

Hope my answer helps you :)

Microorganism Rhizobium absorbs Nitrogen gas from air .

Explanation :

Nitrogen is a present in all living organisms, in the form of proteins, amino acids and nucleic acid. But it exists in the form of N2 and in the form of some oxides in atmosphere.

Atmosphere contains 78% of N2 which is chemically inert and cannot be used by majority of living organisms.

Hence Conversion is required: N2 -----------> Nitrates form for the use of plants.

Rhizobium is present in nodules of leguminous plants like pea, gram, bean etc. which convert the atmosphere Nitrogen into water soluble nitrates  the process of bio fixation of nitrogen is called nitrogen fixation.
