Dry Ice is the common name for solid carbon dioxide (CO2). It gets this name because it does not melt into a liquid when heated; instead, it changes directly into a gas (This process is known as sublimation).

Dry ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide. Gas can be converted to solid by the process of deposition. IN this process gas can be converted directly into solid without passing through liquid stage. From a gas ,the co2 needs to be converted into a liquid before it can become solid dry ice

Hope this helps...

Hi dearest friend,
Here the answer for your question!

Frozen CARBON DIOXIDE is a gas is called dry ice
A block of dry ice has surface temperature of 109.3 degrees.
Dry ice also has very nice salient feature of sublimation.
Which means it can change direct into gas state without in liquid state by absorbing heat.
I think it helps you!
