Which gas is evolved when hydrochloric acid is added in first test tube containing pieces of marble and on second test tube containing zinc granules ?

1) Marble pieces (made of Calcium carbonate) react with hydrochloric acid to make Calcium chloride, Water and Carbon dioxide.

Calcium Carbonate + Hydrochloric acid - - - - ->

Calcium chloride + Water + Carbon Dioxide

Carbon Dioxide is the answer for marble pieces.

2)Zinc granules

Zn  +  2HCl     gives   ZnCl2  +   H2

That is when zinc react with Hydrochloric acid zinc chloride and hydrogen gas is formed

So for second one...Hydrogen is the answer...
