hydrogen gas will produce by the action of dilute hydrochloric acid and ginc granules . here when we add zn to hydrochloric acid after evolving the gas the zn will mix in acid.while evolving of gas we hear pop sound very clearly

hydrochloric acid  = HCl

Zn + HCl ----> ZnCl +  H₂

Hydrogen gas is evolved when  dilute hydrochloric acid  is added to  zinc granules
