When dilute hydrochloric acid is added to a reactive metal, Hydrogen gas is liberated.

Fe(s) + H2SO4(aq) ➝ FeSO4(aq) + H2(g)

Iron reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid and forms Iron sulphate and Hydrogen gas.
