  • At the mid night of 3 december, 1984 there was a great tragedy in bhopal due to leakage of methyl isocyanate poisonous gas from union carbide factory in bhopal. So called popularly as bhopal gas tragedy.

  • Due to this, more than two thousand people had lost their lives and many more suffered from virus diseases. Many thousand people lost their eyes and became sufferer of respiratory disorders. The main gas released from this tragedy were phosgene and methyl isocyanate.
