carbon dioxide that dissolve in water very easily producing caronic acid. SO2that dissolves i rain water causing sulphuric acid which is highly corrosive this gas mainly lead causing abbrasive effectes to metal and rocks third is NO2 this form nitric acid that have similar effect as that of SO2 SO BASICALLY

acid rain is caused by sulphur doixide,sulphur trioxide on combination with water produces sulphurous acid and sulphuric acid causes acid rain.
