As a basic rule nouns ending with ई and इ are considered feminine. There may be some exceptions but this is pretty much it.
Now for the authenticity of my answer, I, myself is the testimony to my statement, as I have been born and brought up in Uttar Pradesh, the biggest hindi speaking region in India. I studied in a hindi medium school. And I have been calling curd as a feminine entity since my childhood. Internet texts and google won't decide the vocabulary and grammar of the language that I have been speaking for a long time. This language is feed into me by my upbringing and my education. I may not recall the source, but it is already part of my neural networks.
It's the original people who speak the language create the vocabulary. So going by that you can trust me on this. And you are getting additional vote also.
