Not just a single grain was cultivated by the man but many grains were cultivated which include wheat, rice, amaranth and millet. But as the scientists have found out that the very first grain or cereal to be cultivated was 'einkorn'.

The word 'einkorn' is derived from the German language, which means one grain. This was first cultivated in the area where today's Iraq and Syria are situated.
