JJ6666: the first and third are functions and the 2nd isn't you have to do the VLT.

Function:-

  • Function is correction of data such that for every input value there are only one output.
  • If for any input value there are more than one output value, it can not be a function.
  • It can be understand by taking:

        Y = F(X)

        Here X is input value.

        While Y is output value for corresponding value of X.

For criteria of function:

  • If there are one value of Y for any value of X, it will be function.
  • If there are more than one value of Y for any value of X, it will not be function.

Now come to question:

  • Graph A: There are only one value of Y for every value of X , So it is a function.
  • Graph B: There are maximum two value of Y for every value of X , So it is not a function.
  • Graph C: There are only one value of Y for every value of X , So it is function.
