in the French society the people were divided into three categories

1) clergy : all the priests of the church came under this category

2) nobility : one with speacial ranks

3) third class people : includes high buisnessmans , artists , peasants

the people in the third class suffered a lot . They have to pay huge amount of taxes and they were also not treated well if they are unable to pay the taxes .

the first class were benefitted the most because the interests which were given by the third class . 1/12 th of the whole prise was given to the priests of the church .

The common men of the French society called the Third Estate which included peasants, artisans, landless labour, servants, merchants, court officials, lawyers etc. benefited from the revolution as they gained liberty and equal socio-economic status.
