during parturition both placenta and foetus send signals to mother's pituitary gland .the anterior pituitary secretes an hormone oxytocin which brings about contraction of uterus called foetal ejection reflex.

another hormone secreted is relaxin to widen the pelvic bones for parturition

Oxytocin from Anterior Pituitary Lobe ,Follicular Stimulating Hormone and Lutenizing hormone from Gonadotropic Hormone found at Posterior Pituitary Lobe are the hormones which get secreted during child's birth.
