Panic Attacks are sudden feels of intense/deep fear.
A person experiencing panic attacks undergoes things like increased heart beat, increased breathing rate, over sweating etc.
Since these attacks have to do with FEAR and STRESS feelings, our triple f (fight, fright, flight) action system i.e. the adrenaline , the stress hormones , cortisol and epinephrine are closely connected aka contribute to these panic attacks.
However these hormones are not the real cause of panic attacks . Smoking , depression , hypertension like factors are also contributers to a large extent.
