Which has a greater area, a rectangle of 12 cm long and 6.2 cm wide or a square of 9 cm side. What is the difference in their areas?​

Answer:

Lenght of rectangle = 12 cm

Breadht of rectangle = 6.2 cm

Area of rectangle = L*B

= 12*6.2

= 74.4 cm^

Side of square = 9cm

Area of square = side*side

=9*9

= 81cm^

Ans: Square has the greater area than rectangle
