Answer:

NaCl sodium chloride is more stable.

reasons -

electronegativity increases from left to right in periodic table and decreases from top to bottom.

If the difference between electronegativities of two elements are more then they will be more unstable and if less then more stable.

Difference between Cs and Cl is more so CsCl is unstable.

Difference between Na and chlorine is less ,so Nacl is more stable.

From point of view of lattice energy - Greater the value of lattice energy, more stable is the ionic solid. The force of attraction between the Large Cs+ ions and Cl- ions will be less than that between the smaller Na+ ions and Cl-ions. As result, CsCl is less stable than NaCl. We may say that the stability of an ionic solid increases with decreasing interionic distance for crystals with similar charge,it may be observed that if the radii of the ions are large, the force of attraction will be less.

Hey mate ,

Lattice Energy is directly proportional to the Charge on ion and inversely proportional to radius of atom . Now in between NaCl and CsCl the radius of Cs+ is way more than Na+ , even though CsCl is more ionic but still radius is more and hence the lattice energy is less .

It can also be explained using Kapustinskii Equation !!
