Resistance = Resistivity×Length/Area

R = ρL/A

Hence,

R ∝ L   or

Resistance is directly proprtional to Length  ie,

if length increases then resistance increases and

if length decreases then resistance decreases

Hence,

the longer wire will have more resistance than the shorter wire
