Answer:

The hormonal deficiency that leads to Goiter is Thyroxine which resut in the enlargement of the Thyroid gland.

Explanation

Thyroid is one of the most important endocrine gland present in our body,as it secretes T3 or triiodothyronine and T4 or thyroxine. The production of this 2 hormone need most amout of iodine of our body.

The goitre is caused due to the deficiency of iodine.Goitre can occur by both over or under production of T3 and T4.Goitre can occur due to attacking of body"s own antibody to the thyroid gland stimulating it to produce excess T4.This ultimately leads to the swelling of thyroid gland.

Hashimoto"s disease is a type of goitre which occur dur to the less active thyroid  also called hypothyroidism. It is an autoimmune disorder that restrict the thyroid gland to produce low amount of thyroxine hormone

The common signs and symtomps of goitre are swelling of neck, coughing, trouble in breathing and swallowing.
