Hormones are the chemical messangers of the body which circulate in the blood to carry messages to different parts of the body.

There are two sections of pituitary gland which are Anterior pituitary and posterior pituitary.

The hormones released by Anterior pituitary gland are:-

•Prolactin (PRL)

•Adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH)

•Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH)

•Luteinising hormone (LH)

•Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)

•Growth hormone (GH)

•Melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH)

The hormones released by Posterior pituitary gland are:-

•Oxytocin

•Anti-diuretic hormone (ADH)
