1.the major cause is the mining activities.That's why the mining sites are generally closed after the extraction work is complete because it results in deep scar formation.

2.The second reasons is the deforestation due to which a large number of trees are felt leading to the destruction of the natural habitat.The deforestation also leads to the soil erosion due to which the fertile soil get degraded.

3.One of the major reason is the overpopulation leading to the increase in the demands for the resources leading to their exploitation.

4.the last and the final reason is the over pollution of all the renewable resources such as water,soil,air etc.This is leading to the degradation of our environment and habitat by a large extent.
