(b) the melting of ice in hot spot quicky because its already hot so melting of ice cube is very fast.....

b) The ice left near hot spot will melt fastest. Conversion of solid phase into liquid is totally depend upon the temperature and pressure. So temperature near the hot spot is very high which results in melting of ice quickly.
