ADD is NOT an example of a function in Excel.
- There is no ADD function because the SUM function adds values. One can add particular values, cell references or ranges or a mix of all three. For example: =SUM(A2l3:A10) Adds the values in cells A3:10.
- A function in Excel is a preset formula, that enables one to perform mathematical, statistical and logical operations. Once one is aware of the function one wants to use, all one has to do is enter an equal sign (=) in the cell, pursued by the name of the function and the cell range it relates to.
- The other options are COUNT, AVERAGE and SUM are functions of Excel.
