the civil disobedience movement was led by Mahatma Gandhi in year 1930 was an important milestone in history of Indian nationalism . there are three distinct phases that mark the development of Indian nationalism , in the first phase the ideology of moderates dominated the political scenario . this was followed by the prominence of the extremists ideologies . in the third phase Indian nationalism was most significant incident was in rise of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi popularly known as mahatma Gandhi , the power of Indian national movements . the main programs adopted by Gandhi were mainly satyagrah , which were co -efficiently non-violence movements .
the main reasons to launch civil disobedience movement :
the first and main was the Simon commission prev elated in India ,it was moved on in 1927 .
the second reason was the salt satyagrah , when the British ordered not to make salt and eat the salt which they sold , Gandhi started a movement to significance to the British as a revolt . on the historic day 12 march 1930 Gandhi inaugurated the civil disobedience movement by conducting dandi march , in which he broke the laws imposed by British for making salt . he started from sabarmati ashram to dandi coast and made salt there . due to this also Lord Irwin and Gandhi signed a pact called Gandhi-Irwin pact in which all the revolutionaries except those charged with violence will be freed and civil disobedience movement will be ended and Gandhi also attended round table conference
