Bal Gangadhar Tilak (or Lokmanya Tilak, About this soundpronunciation (help·info); 23 July 1856 – 1 August 1920), born as Keshav Gangadhar Tilak, was an Indian nationalist, teacher, lawyer and an independence activist.
