in our Indian one can be prime minister even if he/she is not the members of Loksabha. in case if one is not the member of Loksabha then he/she must have the membership of Rajsabha.
Smt. Indira Gandhi was the first PM selected who belongs to Rajsabha.
H. D. Devgora was the another indian PM belongs to Rajsabha.
Inder Kumar Gujral was also the PM selected from Rajsabha.
Dr. Manmohan Singh was also the Indian Prime Minister who was not the member of Loksabha he came from Rajsabha.
