Both institutions are good. I didn't do any kind of preparation from both of these institutes but my younger sister has attended both of them. Star Academy (Shahdra Campus ) was a big name before kips came into this competition. But now Stars academy has divided due to some conflict between partners. Now you have two different institutes ‘’ Star Academy ‘’ and ‘’ Star Institute’’ situated on different locations of Lahore, and i really dont know which one is real. From my experience Star institute (johar town) is good for preparation. On the other hand kips (johar town, 30A campus ) is also good for preparation of mdcat. You can go in any of these depends upon your financial position as both institutes charged heavy fees (around 40k). If you have good marks in Part 1, then both will give you some scholarship. So both are good. One last thing Mdcat is based on strong concepts and time management as well as luck. So make sure first two things which are in your hand. Just work hard, Good Luck
