The process I’m aware of are Endoscopies, Colonoscopies, Esophagogastroduodenoscopy, Laparoscopy, Surgery (duh), Radiology, Ultrasonography
Endoscopies - use endoscopes; they insert this camera attached to a tube through the esophagus in order to view the upper, hollow organs of the body.
Colonoscopes - use colonoscope; it’s a flexible tube with a imagery recording camera which is inserted through the anus of the patient to view the lower half of the digestive track.
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy - also uses endoscopes; that thin tube is guided through the mouth and throat, then into the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. This imaging process specifically views the upper digestive tract (like the endoscopy)
Laparoscopy - like any surgery, multiple tools for incisions are required, including Tocars, Electrodes, forceps, graspers, hooks, probes, and needles with a rigid scope for viewing; The rigid scope is a stiff rod attached to a camera which is insterted through an incision in the asomo al region to view the stomach.
Surgery - many tools; depending on the surgery, which for practical reasons I will not go into, areas of the body can be specifically accessed and manipulated with a wide range of instruments. For example open heart surgery, which allows the surgeon to access and view the bivalves and chambers of the heart.
Radiology and Ultrasonography - both are imaging techniques used to view specific areas of the body.
Radiology - There are multiple machines which aid in the imaging of certain areas, including CT scanners, MRIs, mammaograms, and X-rays. These process utilized a radioactive element which gives off X-rays to source images of solid formations, popularly bone structures.
Ultrasonography - If you are/we’re pregant, this imaging tacknique was used in your sonogram, ultrasound,, echocardiogram, and nephrograms. This time, high frequency sounds are emitted through external probs, much like a radar or depth sensory on a boat, to map out the internal blood vessels, tissues, tendons, muscles, and/or organs.
Endoscopies - use endoscopes; they insert this camera attached to a tube through the esophagus in order to view the upper, hollow organs of the body.
