for boards RD Sharma and NCERT Exempler are best books to practice...and for competetive exams Cengage is good...

First, NCERT textbooks are must.
Then do RD Sharma.
For competitive exams, there are actually quite some good books available. You can use Cengage Learning's Exam Crack Series. You can then do SL Loney for Coordinate Geometry. For calculus, there's Amit Agarwal. If you want, you can also study Higher Algebra by Hall and Knight.
However, you should decide how many books you can manage. If you go to any coaching, do their study material first, as it contains all the different varieties of problems.
