Phosphorus is a reactive non metal and this is stored in water.

actually it is very highly reactive nonmetal because when it comes in the contact of air it catches fire. So from preventing of this, It is stored under water.

Hope this helps.

Explanation:

==>Fluorine is the most reactive non-metal because it is the most electronegative of all of the non-metal elements of the periodic table. Due to its strong electro negativity & small size, Fluorine has a strong tendency to accept electrons from other atoms or ions. As a result it oxidises all other substances.

==>Fluoride in drinking water

Fluoride in drinking waterStarting in 1962, the United States Public Health Service (PHS) recommended that public water supplies contain fluoride to help prevent tooth decay. Fluoride is now used in the public drinking water supplied to about 3 out of 4 Americans
