Laptop is best for a child of class 9 as the child is matured enough to take care when he is assured that the laptop is his own property and he must handle it with care.
He may not carry desktop but Ha can carry laptop when goes somewhere outside.
When there is no electricity, he can use the laptop for at least some time where as he can't do the same with the help of a desktop.
