When u talk about gaming i would never recommend a laptop. But talking about your query .An i5 is enough for gaming and every other purpose
Dont spend some extra bucks for the i7
i5 with 4gb graphics card is good for playing games but i worry that it maybe a 4gb ddr3 card .if it is ddr5 ,its well n good
Talking about the gpu provided on laptops like 920m ,940mx, 930m and some amd gpus are not worth it . they will simply cant do much in gaming . so u need keep your expectation a bit low
i.e. play games at low settings which are graphic and cpu intensive for comfortable 30+fps
