For the sake of understanding let us consider 200/-
14%(200)=28
12%(200)=24
200-24=176/-
2%(176)=3.52
Now 24+3.52=27.52<28
Hence for customers 14% is profitable.
If u like it pls mark as brainliest

Let's check it out.
Let the price of an article be Rs.100.
Single discount of 14% on Rs100
=14×100/100=Rs.14
Price after discount is
100-14= Rs.86.........(i)
Now, first discount of 12%
= 12×100/100=Rs. 12
Price after discount is
100-12=Rs.88
Now discount of 2% on 88
=2×88/100=Rs.1.76
Price after discount is
88-1.76=Rs. 86.24......(ii)
As (i)<(ii), the customers are paying less amount when they are given a single 14% discount.
Hence, 14% discount is a better deal.
