Coal and coke both are as fuels. But,coke is considered to be a better fuelthan coal because of the following reasons: (i) Coke has been higher calorific value than coal: So, cokeproduces more heat than coal on an equal mass basis.

well it's cooler is the better fuel
as it's going in calorific value
easy to transport
