Which is better mounting medium h2o or glycerine and why?

Glycerine which is also called “Propane-1,2,3-triol”. Obviously it is better than H2O or say water but it cannot alone work as a mounting medium. ... Glycerin is better than water as a mounting medium. Because the percentage of evaporation of water is larger than glycerin.
