I think I want to answer it scientifically and physiologically ;p

• Scientifically, these two have equal importance. In the absence of both, life is impossible.

Heart pumps blood. Circulation is of course, an important process in human body. Transportation of blood helps in the supply of oxygen and without oxygen supply and energy production, life is impossible.

Brain is also an inevitable part of human body. Brain interprets all the messages that we use to sense things around. This isn't the stop of function of brain. Brain performs more functions. So, brain is important.

So, scientifically, we can't say one is superior or inferior. Both have the equal importance in maintaining life.

• Physiologically too both are important ;p. Actually, this seems to be confusing one.

If we look through practical angle, brain is important in many ways. Those who have brain (actually, use their brain) is usually very respected personalities. In this case, brain is too important.

But, if we look through the weak and emotional side of humans, heart gains more important.
Hearting is the best way to change a person. In this case, brain can't to make any changes.

So, heart is too prior. Remember, there is a lot of difference between a human being and being a human.

• Thus, for a human being, brain is more important. But, for being a human, heart always stands first.
