which is bigger x or x square

This depends however on the value of x
If x is a number greater than 1
then the square of x will give a bigger value than 1 thus giving x^2 greater than x
If x = 1
then obviously x^2 = 1 and both become equal
However the fun is when x is value less than 1 but greater than 0
Here the square of x would give us a lesser value than x itself
Let's understand with an example
Let's choose the number x = 0.1 = 1/10
So x^2 = 1/10*1/10 = 1/100 = 0.01
which is clearly a number less than 0.1
Thus be careful next time ! when you are asked x^2 greater than x or not? ^_^^_^
Peace friends !
Hope this helps you !

Answer:
If x is negative or greater than 1, x-square is greater than x. If x is 0 or 1, x-square and x are the same. If x is between 0 and 1, x is greater than x-square.
