i think elimination is the easiest method. you just have to multiply constants with the linear equation so that one of the variable's value becomes equal and adding or subtracting according to need one of the variable is eliminated and the other's value is found

Different-different people may have different methods which they think is easy for them .

For me the elimination method is best for getting quick and accurate answers. The other methods are a bit longer and the chances of mistakes also higher.
