√3=3½

³√5=5⅓

the value of root 3 will be 1.732

Answer:

To compare irrational no. here is the procedure:

Take the LCM of the denominators of all powers of the nos to be compared.

Divide the LCM by the denominator of the power and raise it as power to the no respectively.

Now it will make your nos same with different powers.

Therefore small no will be smaller then the larger no with same powers.

Ex. sqrt(2) and cube root (3)

LCM of denominator of powers that is 2 and 3 =6

for sqrt(2)

6/2=3

for cube root (3)

6/3=2

hence new same nos become as

(2^3)^(1/6) and (3^2)^(1/6)

= 8^(1/6) and 9^(1/6)

now clearly you can identify the smaller no
