 Fe2+ is greater in size as compared to Fe3+

to form Fe2+ iron will lose 2 electrons which will make it small as the nucleus will have stronger hold on electrons and if one more electron is removed it forms Fe3+ as there is decrease in the number of electrons the size will decrease more , the nucleus will pull the electron towards itself
