First, we know that
Momentum = Mass × velocity OR
p = mv
Now,convert g into kg
10g = 0.01 kg
400g = 0.4 kg
In first case p = (0.01)(400)
Momentum = 4 kg m/s
In seconf case, convert km/hr into m/s
= 90* 5/18 m/s or 25 m/s
Momentum = (0.4)(25)
p = 10 kg m/s
On comparing we can clearly see that
4 kg m/s < 10 kg m/s
Hence, cricket ball of 400g thrown with speed of 25 m/s will have more momentum.
