The composition of Zila Parshid:
It has nearly 40 to 60 members body. It consists of the following members:
1. Presidents of Block Samitis in the district
2. MP and MLA's from the district
3. One representative each of the co-operative societies
4. Representatives of women, S.C's and BC
5. The chairman of the municipal committee
The members of Zila Parishad elect a chairman from amongst themselves. He/she presides over the Zila Parshidmeetings and conducts its proceedings.
